Health Datapalooza IV: June 3rd-4th, 2013 APPS EXPO LIVE DEMOS Tuesday June 4, 2013 • 1:30pm - 5:00pm Location: Ambassador Ballroom Asthmapolis and the City of Louisville launched an innovative program to improve asthma management among residents and provide officials with valuable information about the burden of asthma. Preliminary analyses show the program significantly increased participant’s asthma free days and reduced use of their rescue inhalers. In addition, a variety of environmental exposures are associated with the development of asthma symptoms, information that can now inform the city’s public health strategy. This demo reviews the technology, shows how both City and residents put it to work and reveals our learning about its benefits for care and public health understanding of asthma.
