How My Journey Began
Dream. Design. Do.
When Dr. Hopelyn Brown left her homeland of Jamaica to complete her undergrad
studies in the USA over 15 years ago, she already had a passion in her heart to
become a leader of leaders. She launched her leadership speaking business
immediately upon completing her doctoral studies from Regent University, by
speaking at a leadership conference to hundreds of leaders in the New York health
industry. Her interests in working with leaders in ministry and the marketplace have
opened doors to working with pastors, entrepreneurs, mental health professionals,
among other leaders.
Living By Divine Life Design
Dr. Hopelyn is a Leadership Speaker & Consultant and the Founder and CEO of
Hopelyn International Network. Her life mission is to develop leaders through
her Divine Life Design Consulting services; helping them take their leadership the
next level to create success and effectiveness in their areas of influence. Dr.
Hopelyn speaks at conferences, retreats, and seminars throughout North America,
Europe, and the Caribbean – both online and face-to-face; helping aspiring leaders to
develop greater effectiveness and growth. Dr. Hopelyn also facilitates other Divine
Life Design coaching services with her clients for their personal and professional
development.
Dr. Hopelyn married her high school sweetheart, shortly after completing her doctoral
studies and currently lives in Maple Ridge, British Columbia, in Canada. She is a
Doctor of Strategic Leadership and holds a Master’s in Business Administration
degree from The School of Leadership Studies at Regent University, Virginia (USA);
as well as a bachelor’s degree in Social Work (with a Spanish minor) from Oral
Roberts University, Oklahoma (USA).

Secret # 1: Rely on your Source
• Who is your source? Knowing who is your ultimate source and
relying completely on Him is one of the best kept secret to living by
Divine design. There is no place for wandering or second-guessing
here – you need to know and be sure that you know.
• This subject is very close to my heart because I have seen how
not knowing have caused many leaders to doubt or fear, or even
become anxious. This happens when we “don’t know” and so we
go with any way the wind turns. During the 90-day mentoring
program you will receive tools to help you build that foundation
where you will know and understand your Source and be
completely confident in that knowing.
• QUESTION: What does it mean to you to be a Christian
Woman Leader?
Secret # 2: Let go of self – the ego
• When you come to the end of self, you will open the door to
greatness. This is where you recognize the dead areas of your life
and accept them – but remain open for restoration. This is a time
of surrender.
• There is no benefit in denying your weaknesses – I call these the
“dead areas” of your life. When you are open to recognize these
“dead areas”, daily surrender them, and consistently replace them
with.
• QUESTION: Name one thing that you need to let go of in 2012
to open the door for greatness?

Secret # 3: Maintain a spirit of humility
• Your successes in life a greatly dependent on your efforts and
those on your design team. It is quite easy to forget that you are
nothing without the breath that was breathe into you by God.
Without this ability to breathe, you will not be able to achieve.
Always, always, always maintain a spirit of humility as Elizabeth
when she greeted Mary the mother of Jesus in Luke 1:43.
• QUESTION: Who are the people that you have disregarded or
cut-off since you saw them move to a better place or receive
greater favour?
Secret # 4: Love yourself and others unconditionally
• Love is the catalyst to every area of your life and business. When
love exudes in a genuine way from you, there is a light that shines
brightly and draws others towards you and what you have to give.
Commit to love unconditionally – always!
• Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes
from God. (1 John 4:7 NLT)
• QUESTION: Are you struggling to offer pure love to others?!
Secret # 5: Daily use your Manual
• What is the tool that you use to guide your life?! In order to find
out; who you are?, Why you were created?, and How to pursue
your purpose?, you have to seek the information from the right
source. The Bible teaches ways to behave as individuals as well
as in family matters, church matters, and government affairs,
among information on how to discover and understand your
reason to be alive.
• QUESTION: Do you have a system in place to ensure that you
hide the word of God in your heart?

Secret # 6: Take Risks
• Taking risks is inevitable as you discover the secrets to your Divine
design. Taking action always include taking risks. Your dreams will
never be realized if you do not take risks. When your discovery
and understanding of who you are becomes clearer, your resolve
becomes stronger because you know you are not standing in your
own strength.
• QUESTION: What is stopping you from taking risks to fulfill
your dreams?
Secret # 7: Expect the impossible
• No dream is too BIG for God to accomplish through you! You have
to expect the impossible. When Abraham had a problem believing
the impossible, here is what God did: “Then the Lord took Abram
outside and said to him, ‘Look up into the sky and count the stars if
you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!’ ” (Genesis
15:5 NLT) Write down your dreams, take pictures of your dreams,
and when you begin to doubt the possibilities, refocus you
attention on them and keep going towards them.
• QUESTION: Are you being pessimistic toward your future or
living a life of doubt?!
You were created by God himself, that’s the reason you are a Divine Design; now its
time to discover the secrets and experience His joy and abundance in your life!
