2. PURPOSE
The purpose of this training is to provide education for the healthcare
professional to increase their knowledge, and offer tools for supporting patients
and families experiencing perinatal loss or death of an infant.

Since January of 2005. Ann-Patrice Foley has worked with prenatal families at
Angela Hospice prior to, during and after the loss of an infant. As part of this
work, Ms. Foley provides 25 month bereavement support to families experiencing
the death of a child. She also provides ongoing monthly pediatric and prenatal
hospice education to University of Michigan Pediatric Residents.
