Green Wall-E, the friendly plant, an interactive Arduino / wood / flotsam upcycling installation won 1st price at Sevenval Woodhack Hackathon 2019, see https://www.sevenval.com/blog/culture/woodhack-2019-projekt-green-wall-e/
2. How to combine a plant with electronics?
Which hardware / sensors / components are available?
We should take advantage of the good features of a plant: Providing fresh air, friendly atmosphere,…
Which functions are useful when you are in the office? // Concepts:
Reminder for a break / for drinking
The plant could water itself when we are on vacation
Interactions like: saying hello, waving or shaking hands, watering
Like a „Plantagotchi“

3. We need a construction for plants on an office table
Recycling materials, natural materials
How high / low should that be constructed?
Which plant?
→ Let‘s collect some rubbish, wood and plants.
Our collection will inspire us.
Should be fun to do that at night by full moon.

4. Doesn‘t need much space on a table
Plant could rank high on our construction, so that
is always present at the eye level and above
Switch for interacting with our plant
Upcycling of a tin can and yoghurt cups

5. Arduino is a physical computing platform consisting of software and
hardware.
The hardware consists of a simple I/O board with a microcontroller
and analog and digital inputs and outputs.
The development environment is based on processing and is
created for beginners in programming. The programming itself is
done in a C or C++-like language, whereby technical details such
as header files are largely hidden from the users. Extensive libraries
and examples simplify programming.
Arduino can be used to control standalone interactive objects or to
interact with software applications on computers. It is also used, for
example, at art schools to create interactive installations.
