YouTube started an educational revolution without anyone noticing. The video revolution made video consumption, production, and distribution easy. This led to new online educational platforms like MOOCs, flipped classrooms, and YouTube channels from Khan Academy, Crash Course, and others. YouTube showed that education extends beyond traditional institutions and cat videos, and its future in education remains promising.
