- 17 years of Sherpa Sherpa Consortium Describe each service 2006 – I joined the team!
- UK is our priority - UK institutions primary funders via membership to Jisc Past year (mid 2017 to mid 2018) Averages 85%-90% UK 30%-35% overall We aimed for 100% UK, but (click) as you can see the main variances coincide with typical UK holidays times. – eg Dec a short month
- Need to move with the times
- Meet current needs
- Current Sherpa set up Complicated – various importers End use submissions Separate user interfaces and APIs Very Human centric (click) - Speed of operator Duplication of effort – risk of error Infrastructure out of date Silo’d data
- Currently undergoing programme re-development Upgrading underlying code and databases ensuring technical stability Improved Data Model Data into machine readable format to enable quick dev. of overlay services Like for like service rebuilds on stable infrastructure Improves administration Handle enquiries

- - v2.fact and v.2ref will be re-specified to meet current requirements
- UKRI – UK Research and Innovation – includes seven research councils, and HFECE, HEFCW etc Expecting more joined up policies Avoid duplication Merge into a single compliance checking service. Like Fact select multiple funding options
- New interface Volunteer editors Publisher/ funders to edit directly Supervision by Administrators Juliet Role out – OD, Romeo
- Key message: APIs will be turned off – don’t worry there will be new ones! We will keep you notified If have API Key – you will be directly informed – everyone else we will send out general notifications Overlap during Beta period
