The Jisc Publications Router is a service that captures research publications and sends metadata and full-text to institutional repositories to help with open access policies. It currently delivers notifications from 8 content providers to 31 repositories, and is working to expand to more publishers and platforms. Feedback from users has been positive, though some duplicates still occur, and the router aims to address this and further develop based on user comments. Major stakeholders endorse the router as an important tool for open access.

9. How can Router be improved?
Duplicates duplicates duplicates duplicates…
31 July 2018 Jisc Publications Router – OA community event, Bristol 9
“Occasionally receive duplicate
notifications - would be good if this
could be avoided.”
“…good if the Router or another
tool was able to check the
repository for duplicate records of
the same output and where there
are duplicate records for us to be
able to see the differences…”
“Still get very occasional
duplicates, so would be good if
there were a clear
reporting/feedback system for
these..”
