2. 2010
 A competition for students – design a mouse mat
 The idea that e-safety should be included in tutorials emerges
 An e-safety Moodle course is created

3. 2011
 Student Union Involvement
 Facebook security competition led by the SU – how safe are you
 Students invited to check their FB security against a set of criteria and then
enter their pages for checking with the SU president
 Prize drawn from entries who met security criteria – others contacted to
offer advise and support

4. 2012
 Involvement from wider student support team

 Student welfare
 Learning Technologists
 Personal tutor took the lead on revamping Moodle course and re-writing
an e-safety group tutorial for all personal tutors

5. 2012 continued
 Displays and activities in the reception and/or social areas
 A spoof email created inviting students to ‘friend’ an unknown person – if
bait taken the ‘acceptance’ linked through to a safety page and advice
 Learning technologists on hand to offer advice and support

6. 2013
 Displays going on in student spaces again this year
