This talk will share how learning analytics has been used in the Newman University and how students have been involved in the implementation. The approach has avoided a deficit approach and instead uses observable behaviour once a student is on programme It is therefore primarily concerned with pedagogic activities borne from student activity data and crucially, our professional assessment of it. The presenter will reflect on the experiences of colleagues and students involved, and how these could translate into activity elsewhere within the university.
