2. INTRODUCTION
• TV is one of the main sources of entertainment in our lives
• Violence is being shown on TV to attract people to watch TV
• We believe that it has negative effects on children
• We did this research to find out whether or not:
Our thoughts are right, TV violence should be stopped
3. SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
• 15 days were provided
• We could only survey 20 people
• We did our survey in places inside Lahore i.e., Askari X, DHA
• We could only interview less than two people
4. LITERATURE REVIEW
• Movies are the main source of TV violence
• It has become a fantasy for children; they like watching it
• Children have started to adapt personality traits like; violence, fear,
immorality and poor behavior
• Children of ages under 4 become comfortable watching it
• It’s portrayal needs to be reduced, if not stopped

6. SURVEY QUESTIONNAIRES
The questionnaire was divided into three parts:
• Awareness of the problem among people
• People’s beliefs about it’s negative effects
• People’s suggestions

• Do you have children in your family?
• For how long do they watch TV each day?
• Do they often watch channels/programs that portray violence?
• Do you think that these programs are greatly affecting the children?
8. People’s beliefs about it’s negative effects
• Have you observed any change in any child in/out of your family due
to this projection of violence?
• Do you believe that it affects children more in a bad way than in a
good way?
• Which personality trait do you is think is being adapted by children
mostly?
9. People’s suggestions
• Do you think that children should be stopped from watching TV
violence?
• How should they be stopped?
• Do you think that stopping them from watching violence will counter
the negative effects that it has already had on children?
10. INTERVIEWS
• What do you think about TV violence?
• What do you think is the main reason for children to get attracted
towards TV violence?
• Do you think that it is affecting children in a bad way? How?
• Do you believe that the children should be stopped from watching TV

11. DATA ANALYSIS: QUESTIONNAIRE
Part 1: Awareness of the problem among people
• 20 out of the 20 people questioned have children in their family
• Majority of the children watch TV for more than 4 hours each day
• 17 out of 20 people answered that children often watch programs associated
with TV violence
• 16 out of 20 people believed that it is affecting their psychological state

17. DATA ANALYSIS: INTERVIEW
• TV violence is disturbing
• Children are attracted towards it, because they can’t see much of it in reality
• It is effecting children in all the bad ways
• Children have to be stopped from watching it
• More of moral content needs to be displayed on TV
18. CONCLUSION
• Our hypothesis resulted to be true
• TV violence really is effecting children in a bad way
• It’s portrayal has to be reduced
19. RECOMMENDATIONS
• Reduce the portrayal of TV violence
• Control what your children watch on TV
• Decrease their TV time generally
• Often tell your children about the difference between right and wrong
