In a pre-emptive attempt to prevent
confusion with date clashes. I have
created a strict filming schedule that
has been agreed to by the cast and
assistant director we use a Facebook
group to keep track of updates
concerning the film making process
Illness All Director / Ill company member
In terms of illness on the day of the
shoot I will have to reschedule the
filming. I will use the Facebook page
to notify the cast in case of this
event.
Injury All Full company
In case of injury I will carry a first aid
kit and keep a trained first aider on
call. I will also take emergency
contact numbers for people’s
respective family members as well as
the numbers of emergency services.
Of course I will also keep a working
fully charged mobile phone with me
Weather Outdoors Director
I have planned to film on days where
the weather is forecast as
appropriate. If we are caught in
inappropriate weather conditions it
will be up to the director either to
arrange to re-schedule a shoot on
another day or try to re-write to

action will depend on the
circumstance.
Camera and other equipment All Director
I have planned to film with an
appropriate Canon EOS DSLR
camera and tripod. Before the shoot
I will ensure that the camera is
charged and we have a blank SD card
with sufficient space as well as a
back up one. Should the camera
break or run out of charge or memory
it will be up to the director either to
arrange to re-schedule a shoot on
another day or try to resolve the
issue. My course of action will
depend on the circumstance. I have
arranged charging points during the
day near the shooting locations
Actor gives poor performance All Director / actor
I have put my actors through a basic
audition process to ensure that they
are capable. Should they give a poor
performance for whatever reason As
an actor of decent knowhow I can
coach them on location
Location safety, availability and
public interference

I have researched the locations to
ensure safety on shoot. We have
agreed as a group that the locations
are suitable and safe. In the case of
public interference we have agreed
as a group to move on if we
encounter a problem in case of theft
of the equipment I will keep a mobile

I will assess the situation concerning
traffic on the day of the shoot and
give the team a quick briefing
concerning traffic safety in case of
an accident I will refur to my (injury)
protocol
