Implementing an Employee Recognition Program (ERP)
will not only reinforce positive behavior and our Core
Values, it will help decrease turnover and positively impact
our business’ financial strength.
When developed and administered appropriately, an ERP
will improve communication between employees and
management, as well as increase employee loyalty by
giving employees more stake in our Company’s success.

Employees are encouraged to execute their authority to Stop Work when there is an unsafe act
or condition.
Employees are encouraged to Stop and Seek help when confusion or questions arise.
Stop and Seek Forms will be distributed to supervisors. At the weekly safety meeting, the best
four will be shared with the masses in order to:
1. Re-enforce positive behavior (Gift Card)
2. Share potential hazards/best practices with fellow employees
3. Provide Individual recognition

Audit Program is already in place at Sherwin Alumina.
Tracking of audits will be used as criteria to determine the Safe Crew of the Month
In addition, attendance, Number of Good Catches, Stop and Seek, etc. can be used as criteria
to determine Safe Crew of the Month

$25.00 Gift Cards x 20= $500 (4 given out per week for good catch/SWA/Stop and Seek)
$10.00 Tee-Shirts/hats x 100= $1,000 (5 Shirts given out during bi-weekly safety meeting)
$150.00 Lunch x 5= $750 (Crew of month treated to lunch)
$50 Employee of Month x 5= $250 (Tool or Gift Card)
