Dr Janet Fulton is a Senior Lecturer in Communication and Media at the University of Newcastle. Her research interests interests include journalism, creativity & cultural production, social media, journalism education and the future of journalism.
She has taught into the Bachelor of Communication since 2007, with lecturing and tutoring experience across a range of courses that feed into the journalism, PR, media production and media studies majors.
Janet was awarded her PhD in November 2011. Her doctoral research project applied creativity models to print journalism and investigated how journalists interact with cultural and social structures when they produce, or create, their work.
