1. IDEA MAPPING WHAT An idea map or mind map is a diagram used to represent words , ideas , tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Mind maps are used to generate , visualize , structure , and classify ideas, and as an aid to studying and organizing information, solving problems , making decisions , and writing. 1 WHY A Designer ’s role is to solve problems by designing and creating effective and well-organized solutions that meet the needs of the situation and produce specific communications. Sometimes this is easier said then done and designers need a way to better organize their own thoughts and ideas.
