The attached is a slide deck made from our Excel file showing
126 different ‘fixes’ people can make to their own resume.
The following slides show the most common errors people make on resumes.
Forgive me for not making this deck ‘pretty’. Just moving it off Excel into
PowerPoint. Sorry some of the type is small, but you can download it on SS.
This is focused on a typical chronological resume structure.
I created this given how tired I was of telling different job seekers the same things
over and over, and I was rewriting dozens of resumes for free each year, sometimes
10 a month. This shows people the major errors and allows them to fix them.
Some of the items are personal preference, but should either be understood and
decided to be ignored.
