organic ingredients are certified by the British Soil Association, a strict governing

AUTHENTIC INGREDIENTS FOR THERAPEUTIC FORMULAS
Our products are formulated by combining organic plant extracts that possess
traditionally recognized healing properties with the latest innovations in green
chemistry. Our commitment to botanical knowledge and innovation allows us to

Our complete range is biodegradable and environmentally friendly. We never use
petrochemical derivatives, such as mineral oil, petrolatum, or carbomer, nor do
we use silicones, often used to lend sensations of softness to hair or skin, because
these are not biodegradable and they block the skins’ pores, stunting natural
healing processes. We do not use synthetic aromas, fragrances or colours—only
pure essential oils and cold-pressed vegetable oils. We never use parabens as
preservatives, only natural ingredients with preservative properties which, together
with our dark blue glass bottles that reduce 97% of UV light, ensure your product
lasts longer.
We keep our products GMO-free; Not enough is known about the long-term
implications of genetically modified products so we do not use them.
ENVIRONMENTAL CARE
All our bottles, containers and packaging are biodegradable and fully recyclable.
We consciously avoid over-packaging so as to eliminate waste. You will be happy
to know that we have successfully moved all plastic packing over to 100% post
consumer recycled PET, and that our signature dark blue bottles are also made in
the U.K. In keeping with our commitment to sustainability we are now one of the
first British retailers to be awarded a CarbonNeutral® brand status. We are actively
reducing our carbon footprint to net zero, improving our energy efficiency and using
renewable energy sources.
NO ANIMAL TESTING
Neither Neal’s Yard Remedies, nor any of its suppliers carries out animal testing
of products or ingredients: We acknowledge that testing on animals is cruel and
unnecessary. Human volunteers test all our products and we work closely with
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and the British Union for the
Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV).
VEGAN FRIENDLY
Many of our products are suitable for vegans. We never use animal by-products and
we make sure that all our ingredients are derived from plant sources.
