PERSONAL PROFILE
I am a highly organised person, who enjoys the challenges and variety that being a Personal Assistant to senior executives
brings. I have excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills, allowing for an efficient and effective workplace
environment. Proactive in my approach to my work, I am adaptable, learn quickly and enjoy maintaining high standards for
any organisation. In addition I offer varied experience in other key roles demonstrating the ability to work within challenging
timeframes and to a budget. I pride myself on being a good listener and motivator, and having a natural ability to work well
in a team and on my own. I am dedicated, enthusiastic and committed to excellence. I am available to start early in
February within an exciting and challenging new environment.
I currently work for Aquamarine Power, an SME which has grown over the last 6 years from 10 to 65 people over 3
locations but unfortunately has restructured and is making significant redundancies.
CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
• Developed and implemented a travel booking system which saved Aquamarine Power over £5000 per year
and provided an enhanced service with travel information going straight into an individual’s Outlook
calendar.
• Developed and implemented a new IT support line providing a cost saving to Aquamarine Power of around
£4000 per year in fees.
• Introduced a new recycling initiative at Aquamarine Power and increased the company’s total recycling by
50% in the first year which contributed toward achieving a Silver award from National Recycling Stars.
• Saved over £55,000 per year by restructuring staff and procedures within the monitoring centre at Evolve
Holdings.
• Developed and implemented a successful performance related pay scheme at Evolve Holdings.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT
PA to the Senior Management Team and Office Manager – Aquamarine Power Ltd, Edinburgh – August 2008 to
present
• Provide PA support to the Senior Management team (x 4)
• Manage the Board, administer Board governance and book all travel for the Board members. First point of contact for
all Board member and stakeholder issues and queries
• Plan and organise office events and companywide meetings
• Diary management, travel booking and other general PA duties
• Do expenses for the Senior Management Team
• Reconcile credit cards receipts
• Manage and provide administrative support to staff in all 3 locations
• Line manager to the administrative team (x 2 staff)
• Facilities management for office and liaisons with Building Manager
• Responsible for facilities in Orkney – transport, accommodation and catering
• Responsible for an annual budget of £250k
• IT support for all our 60 + staff in situ and remotely in our other two locations
