We at Valle del Café are passionate and proudly committed to the production and supply of high-quality Specialty
Coffee, a claim that we don’t take lightly.
What is Single Origin Specialty Coffee? We believe it is coffee that has been produced under strict controls adhering to
tradition, complete with total transparency, coffee that is produced from one farm, in most cases one variety, resulting
in the end-user having the satisfaction and confidence that, what is claimed and publicized is in fact correct.
Too often the consumer is completely misled in what they are buying and consuming. In fact, the product can be far
from what they believe it really is. There are too many marketing claims, buzz words and marketing strategies that are
misrepresentative. What is fascinating, coffee being the second highest consumable to oil it is incredible how little the
public know and understand. With the introduction of many Specialty Coffee Association’s throughout the World this
knowledge is slowly changing, and people are becoming more aware, demanding more information and quality.

3. Outline of our procedures
• We believe in the empowerment of our coffee partners through all aspects - financial, living and working
conditions
• All our coffees are grown in consideration to the environment and surrounding wild life
• No insecticide’s or pesticides are used, only products that are certified and acceptable to International Environmental
standards
• Fertilization and work programs are daily documented
• All our coffees are naturally sun dried
• Selection of coffee is paramount, removing any defects ensuring perfect quality, starting at the pulping, after drying,
and again after the parchment has been removed at the green stage
• Storing and stabilizing coffee; at the parchment stage and prior to roasting an important aspect in maintaining quality
• Roasting; To ensure that we achieved the required quality, our coffees are slowly gas roasted capturing and
harmonizing the caramelisation process, aroma and taste profile
• Coffees are packed immediately after roasting, our unique double pack system further insures maximum freshness
slowing down the oxidization process, encapsulating all aroma’s and antioxidants the essence of maintaining quality
• Our quality assurance program ensures complete traceability at all stages of production
• All our coffees are selected in line with the International cupping criteria having a minimum score of 85 points as set
out by the SCAA for the Cup of Excellence
