John Shank is currently the BL Information Commons & Thun Library Head. He was one of the first Instructional Design Librarians in the country & was promoted to the faculty rank of Full Librarian at Penn State in 2013. He is the founding Director of The Center for Learning & Teaching at Berks. Prior to his appointment in July 2001, he held positions at Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Montgomery County Community College. He was selected by Library Journal in 2005 as a Mover and Shaker.
