Street Art and can have a place in our cities
We believe that clean and beautiful cities improve
the economies of those cities and the lives of their
residents and visitors
3. The Beautiful Riga Project – Clean up and Cure the Graffiti Problem
Environmental clean-up 2012 -2014, cleaning up graffiti all over Riga and
other cities in Latvia
Develop and implement effective anti-graffiti program/activity to solve the
problem of graffiti vandalism
To send a message to our society that we care about the society's
environmental problems and are willing to take an active role in solving them
Motivate young people and students to clean graffiti all over the Riga area
(video spot, VIP involvement, social media, concert , association of skaters,
graffiti lectures, painting contest , bords.lv, career development), promote
patriotic feelings and pride in our country
Participation in this project is voluntary
Involve graffiti artists and organize painting contests, trainings and the reverse
graffiti project

Riga and then Latvia.
Then we move on to more projects to make
Riga the gem that it was meant to be.
We make Riga the most beautiful
Cultural Capital of Europe by 2014.
9. Patrons, Sponsors and Participants
Housing and Education Department at
the Riga City Council, Minister/
Ministry of Education
Participation is voluntary.
Local businesses, Riga City Council
and organizations will supply all the
equipment, cleaning supplies, paint
and safety accessories.
Individual volunteers will act as
supervisors and trainers for using the
equipment, painting and for being sure
that everyone is doing the work safely.
10. Steps to Success
January 2012 – March 2012
Presentations to Housing and Education Departments at the
Riga City Council, Ministry of Education, Ministry of the
Environment, Ministry of Transport
Presentations to local businesses including: Krause, Depo,
etc. Get local businesses involved and committed to
providing paint, coatings, supplies and expertise.
Organize Project management, teams and schedules, start
the project
Enlisting the participation of all local media for interviews,
PR and support.

March – April 2012
Organize collection of supplies
Collect supplies in one secure location.
Do lectures and trainings for students.
Choose locations and prioritize.
Organize teams and schedules.
Set up wall painting contest and choose locations.
Build technological networking system.
Communication with involved partner organisations
, PR, champagne, Facebook, draugiem.lv, cooperation
with the graffiti artists, a map with places for cleaning.
