This document argues that hunting should be legalized in indigenous regions of Taiwan. It presents three main points in support of this claim: (1) Indigenous peoples have lost access to their traditional lands where they hunted for many years; (2) International law and Taiwanese law recognize indigenous rights to practice traditional knowledge including hunting; (3) Hunting is an important part of indigenous cultural practices and plays a role in their spiritual beliefs and traditions. The document calls for standing up for legalizing hunting in indigenous territories.
