2. Supplier Development
· Directed and led cross functional teams consisting of quality engineers, continuous improvement,
procurement and IT in the development and implementation of a supplier scorecard program and
process.
· Investigated supply chain disruptions and when systemic in nature, determined course of action
necessary to identify direct and root causes and lead the appropriate teams toward resolution,
both internally and external supplier based.
· Managed Level 1 and 2 Government proposals; verified that commodity managers were
complying with FAR/TINA requirements during the RFQ and sub-tier supplier selection process.
· Collaborated with sub-tier suppliers and procurement to drive continuous improvement by
teaching advanced expediting techniques and developing processes and SOP’s to mitigate risk.
Change Management
· Designed and implemented a “dock to stock” program for high performing suppliers resulting in
significant cost savings in the form of labor hours with the inspection/receiving department.
· Created and implemented a “peer check” evaluation process to minimize errors in Purchase
Order and Contract creations.
· Developed and implemented a purchase requisition process and SOP for engineering and
maintenance personnel, to allow for component traceability and proper cost allocation to the
appropriate department budgets.
· Developed and implemented a formal RFQ process and template, and a weighted matrix supplier
selection document that eliminated subjective supplier awards and ensured FAA and TINA
compliance.
· Initiated and mandated a formal process that ensured sub-tier suppliers fully understood the
blueprint and customer requirements prior to production; this process also resulted in mitigating
internal drawing errors.
