This document discusses the use of open educational resources (OERs) at Lansing Community College. It describes how the author initially wrote their own textbook but has since adopted OERs. It outlines various OERs that have been developed or adopted for psychology courses at LCC, including an OpenStax psychology textbook used program-wide. The document also addresses challenges of creating OERs and getting new faculty involved with OERs. Finally, it discusses outreach with high school teachers to explore developing OERs for foreign language courses.
