Group Juggle INSTRUCTIONS: Everyone will group themselves into 3 groups of 10 Form a circle with your group Pass the ball around once clockwise and when you receive the ball, say your name aloud Once you learn everyone's name, begin to say their name before you pass to them. The point is to learn everyone’s name
4. BuildingTrust Building trust is a very important factor in the workplace. Without trust your team will not succeed You have to work hard to gain the trust of your employees
5. Step 1: Establish and Maintain Integrity This is the foundation, keep your promises, tell the truth and stay true to your words. In order to establish this, you must be honest with employees from the beginning To maintain this, you must always be truthful
6. Step 2: Communicate Vision and Values By communicating companies vision and values, allows employees to learn about the company Provides a way for employees to see through the company, and see the organizations vision and their values. Do this by, keeping the mission statement visible to all, reinforce the vision frequently
7. Step 3: Consider All Employees as Equal Partners Don’t undermine your employees, they are more crucial to the company than you think Do not talk down Motivate employees Give them harder tasks, let them know you believe they can do them
8. Step 4: Focus on Shared Goals Rather than setting personal goals, set shared goals Doing this will enforce working as a team, and building trust within the team When a team really works together, the team will trust one another
9. Step 5: Do What is Right Do what is right, regardless the personal risk Doing the right thing will always show employees that you are trustworthy They will learn to respect you because of the risk you may be taking

11. Who Am I? Who Are You? In order to work as a team, you must ask yourself and your employees this question The more self-awareness each member has, the more actively they can contribute The more they know of each other, the better they can tap into each others talents
12. Who Are We Together? This involves key aspects of relationships and communication Every individual deals with things in their own way Establish ways of communicating in a way that doesn’t undermine the relationships
13. What Are We Here To DO? Be sure to clarify what the work is before starting it This will avoid conflict and waste of time Don’t assume that everyone understands what to do just because you do. Be sure that everyone has the same view Take time to assess the goals mission and tasks for the team
14. How Are We Going To Do It? Most important issue on a team This is where an agenda is set; who does what, when will it be done. Be aware of how everyone else wants to get it done, don’t expect others to do work the way you want it done Be aware of individual talents
15. How Are We Doing? How Did We Do? Measure how you are doing Be aware that different personality types will have different perspectives of what is good and bad Do not get stuck in your own preferences Effective team work means understanding ourselves and how we are different from others
