(Grade 7 - 8 Exploratory) 
I. Objective 
At the end of the lesson the students would be able to. 
A. Learn the techniques in applying Plain Panicure. 
II. Subject Matter 
Topic: Basic Nail Design: Plain Manicure 
Reference: Page 105, (K to 12 BEC, TLE- Beauty Care (Nail Care Services) 
Materials: Black board and chalk, base coat, colored polish acetone, cotton, orange wood stick and plastic 
spoons. 
III. Procedure 
A. Preparatory Activities 
1. Prayer 
2. Check attendance 
3. Follow up assignment 
B. Developmental Activities 
 Awareness 
B. The teacher will inform the students they will learn the techniques in applying Plain Manicure. 
Motivation 
The teacher will show a picture of different colors of plain manicure.
 Presentation/Generalization/Abstraction 
The teacher will show pictures and to elaborate the lecture using the that shows a proper way to pack and 
measure liquid and dry ingredients. 
The teacher will present an examples of charts in ingredients that will substitute that aren’t available at own 
food pantry or item. 
 Activity 
The student will prepare the materials for plain manicure. 
 Application 
The Student will apply the techniques in applying plain manicure. 
 Assessment 
The student will be graded according to their performance. 
Points Criteria for judging 
35 General Appearance 
 Color combination of the nail polish are evident 
 Nail designs were creatively applied. 
 Proportion of the different nail designs were observed 
35 Workmanship 
Nail polish coat were evenly applied 
Neatness in the work were observed 
20 Quality 
Durability of the finished project were observed 
10 Speed 
The Project was finished and submitted on time 
Then student TOTAL Score 
 Assignment 
The student will bring the following on October 15 , 2014 
1. 2 Colored polish 
2. 1 top coat 
3. 1 base coat 
4. 5 Spoons
