KPIT’s Solution
The NA OEM Customer faced complexities arising due to
explosion of rapidly changing features/requirements during the
development lifecycle and working with Tier1 suppliers. No
readily available automation framework for testing of
Automotive Infotainment Applications. With more than
15000 test cases and more than 100 million lines of code
involved, the OEM struggled with manual testing involving
huge time & effort, potential of errors, and tight program
timelines due to parallel development.
The client was looking for a partner who could successfully
create an in-house test automation framework and execute
their ongoing test cycles for products supplied by its respective
Tier 1. The client chose KPIT considering its deep domain
expertise, on-going working relationship, delivery excellence,
and platform know-how (KPIT’s Proprietary In-vehicle Infotainment Platform - KIVI). KPIT acted as an independent test house for the
OEM with a team size of 25-30 experts, completely owning the activities such as Functional and HMI testing, Localization testing,
Stability testing & Connectivity testing.
