To whom it may concern:
It is with great enthusiasm that I offer my highest recommendation in support of Lauren
Lugossy. I served as Lauren’s direct supervisor for her Department of Behavioral and
Community Health full-time internship for the spring 2015 academic semester. During this time,
I was continually impressed with her positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
As a Campus Alcohol Programs Intern, Lauren’s responsibilities included assisting in the
coordination of the peer education program, developing new marketing material, and
implementing new outreach initiatives. Lauren proved to be a responsible, reliable individual
and her passion for health and wellness was continually demonstrated in her dedication to
educating fellow students and a commitment to creating a healthier campus environment.
Talking with fellow students about safe and responsible alcohol use in the college environment is
not always an easy task, but Lauren’s ability to present information in a non-judgmental way and
to engage students in the topic was truly a gift and a great benefit to our program.
Lauren truly exemplifies the values of community, integrity, and excellence in her daily
interactions, academic achievements, and extracurricular involvement. In addition to her ability
to positively engage others and her organizational skills, one of Lauren’s main strengths during
her internship was her ability to work as part of a team. Lauren was assigned major tasks that
required working with other interns and the results went above and beyond expectations. Her
ability to be a strong and effective member of a team has also been demonstrated by her
involvement with Alpha Phi Omega, Service Fraternity and her participation in the Alternative
Spring Break program.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn and help others, and good work ethic will make Lauren an
exceptional employee. She is an intelligent and well-rounded individual who enjoys being part
of a team and helping those around her. In my opinion, Lauren would be a tremendous asset to
all who have the opportunity of working with her. If you have any questions, please feel free to
