Audience Feedback
• We finished the rough draft of our music
video, and in order to get a wide variety
of feedback, we showed our video to a
group of students and asked them:
1. What do you like about our video?
2. How convincing is our music video?
Why?
3. Any criticisms of the video?
Audience Feedback
• We collected all the results and looked at
the feedback and came up with a list of
the responses we got most often for each
question
What do you like about our video?
• Black and White
• Good camera work and editing
• Fits the song
• Overlapping storylines
• The varied shots
• It flows well
• Skyshot
What do you like about our video?
• Time lapse
• Realistic, deep and relatable
• Simple but effective
• Storyline easy to follow
• Establishing shots
• Journey of the character
• Paper catching fire
How convincing is our music video?
Why?
Most common responses:
• ‘Very, good use of camera’
• ‘Very, runs smoothly’
• ‘Very, it all made sense’
• ‘Filmed really well, flows’
• ‘Goes well with the music’
• ‘Black and white filter made mood more
convincing’
• ‘Went well with the message of the song’
• ‘Very, looked like an actual music video’
Any criticisms of the video?
• Doesn’t look like he’s singing
• Artist need to look at camera more
• Lip syncing
• Artist needs to open his mouth more
• Lots of random walking
• Repetetive
• Too much walking around, needs other stuff
• Not very clear reason behind story
Conclusion
• From the feedback from our audience we can
see that the Black and White filter and the
timelapse are one of the best parts of the video.
• After viewing the comments of the criticisms
section we concluded that the lip sync needed to
be jiggled slightly to be more time with the
music. We also think that we should add in more
scenes to do with the train to make the video
more interesting and make more sense.
