McDonald’s workers file harassment claims, Congress loosens bank rules, and other news

McDonald’s employees filed 10 sexual harassment complaints across eight states this week. The women say that when they reported the behavior, they were ignored, faced retaliation or lost their jobs.
Dodd-Frank Regulations
Congress agreed to ease Dodd-Frank financial regulations, approving a bill that cuts regulations for small and medium-sized lenders. President Trump is expected to sign it before Memorial Day.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg appeared at the European Parliament, saying that the social media platform is taking steps to prevent repeating its data privacy scandal. His testimony comes days before Europe enforces sweeping new privacy rules.
“We should discuss breaking up the Facebook monopoly. Can you convince me not to do so?” Manfred Weber, European People’s Party leader, to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
