BUDGET DEAL
Senate leaders reached a two-year budget deal that, if it passes, would increase spending for defense and domestic programs by about $300B over two years. Lawmakers must also approve a separate short-term funding measure by midnight Thursday or the government will shut down.
 
TESLA
Tesla said it is finally on track to meet Model 3 production targets — which had been delayed twice over bottlenecks in battery production from its Gigafactory. But the company also posted its biggest ever quarterly loss.
 
NEST
Smart home appliance maker Nest is returning to Google after operating as an Alphabet subsidiary for three years. The move will make it easier for Google Assistant to be added across all of Nest’s hardware.
