I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures at Michigan State University where I am the Director of the award-winning WIDE Research and the Co-Founder of the Experience Architecture undergraduate degree program. I am a member of the leadership committee for the award-winning Women in Technical Communication. I am the Past Chair of the Association for Computer Machinery’s Special Interest Group on Design of Communication (SIGDOC). My areas of interest include user experience, information design, archiving, and internet studies. I am interested in how people use social media to communicate, share information, and validate knowledge.
