The second week of October 1994 was a very busy week at the box office, with
movies such as Jurassic Park, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, amongst an array of
other films. Due to this, Tom Hanks could not portray the role of X in the movie
Y, due to scheduling conflicts with Forrest Gump. However, Hanks did appear in
the same director’s next film, The Green Mile, which has a special connection
with the movie in question. X? Y?

The Harvard College Sports Analytics Collective tallied all the stats from the
game between _________ and the _________, then extrapolated those numbers
over a regulation 48-minute game.
The results: Jordan led all scorers with 44 points on perfect 22-for-22 shooting.
He scored more than half his points on dunks -- though that's not a surprise,
considering that more than 85% of the points in the game came on slam dunks.
What game is being talked about?

The episode “Garage Sale” of Season 7 of The Office (US) has all the
employees of Dunder Mifflin sell some of their personal belongings as a part of
a … you guessed it, Garage Sale. Oscar, one of the employees, is revealed to be
selling a lot of DVDs of a certain other TV Show X, which first aired in 1998.
Oscar reveals that after he came out of the closet, his friends just assumed that
he was a fan of the show X, which still remains one of the most prominent TV
Shows with gay lead characters. ID X.

Charley Douglass, an American Sound Engineer is responsible for this development,
when it comes to TV Shows. The development in question here, is something that
was more prominent during the early era of pre-recorded TV, however it is
something that still exists in modern Television Shows, although the mainstream
popularity has gone down quite a bit. This technique was helpful during camera
transitions, smoothing out an era of live broadcast television to a pre-recorded era,
and even make both TV Actors and audience back at home feel more comfortable
reacting to the performances. Recently, however, this technique has come under a
lot of flack, with critics claiming that it is an easy way to force audience reaction.
What technique?

"As fourth grader Stan Marsh composes a song for his new death metal band,
Crimson Dawn, his father Randy announces to the family that he plans to travel
to China to expand the family's Tegridy Farms marijuana business." This is the
plot of an episode in the 22nd season of South Park which led to the show
being illegal in China, for obvious reasons. Coming at the time of NBA
controversies in China, and the Hong Kong protest, it wasn't really a shock the
backlash the show received from the authoritarian Chinese Gov.
The name of the episode is a brilliant pun based on the plot and the
consequences that the creators were sure it would bring about. What pun?

Person X about the premiere of the show Z: “None of those characters were
software engineers. Software engineers are more helpful, thoughtful, and
smarter. They’re weird, but not in the same way”
Person Y responding to person X: “Yeah, but, and I’m not gonna name names,
but if the billionaire power players don’t get the joke, it’s because they’re not
comfortable being satirized. Like, I’m sorry, but you could tell everything was
true. You guys do have bike meetings, motherfucker.”
X, Y, Z?

"___ ____ _____" refers to a controversial change made to a scene in the movie
Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), in which X is confronted by the bounty hunter
Greedo in the Mos Eisley cantina. In the original version of the scene, X shoots
Greedo dead. Later versions are edited so that Greedo attempts to fire at X
first. Director George Lucas altered the scene to give X more justification for
acting in self-defense. Many fans and commentators oppose the change,
feeling it weakens their character. FITB.

X is a type of television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin
America. The etymology of the word is quite straightforward, and is derived
from combining the two words in Spanish. Xs are known to be over the top
dramas (imagine your typical Hindi serial) however they have a very short run
(don’t imagine your typical Hindi serial). X is also the name of a TV Show which
aired on NBC from 2015-2016 also known as Hot and Bothered. Jane the Virgin
fans would recognise the term X from the occupation of Jane’s dad. Gimme X.

This is a tweet by Lin Manuel Miranda of The Hamilton Musical fame, during
the aftermath of a pretty prominent event that happened during May of 2018.
The event in question left fans of a certain entity across the globe in shock and
pain alike, and amongst the pain arose a lot of famous people who now
apparently had a cause to unite for. It all eventually panned out perfectly, and
within a 2 days, things were back to normal, if not better. What event?

Pictured here is Ed O' Neill, from Married with Children and Modern Family
fame, reading the same prop newspaper in episodes of Modern Family 20
years after Married with Children. However, this isn't just done as an homage or
an easter egg, and these aren't the only two instances of this newspaper
popping up in Pop Culture. Why is it so prominently used?

Milo Murphy’s Law is an animated TV Show created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff
“Swampy” Marsh. The show follows the life of a boy, cursed with The Murphy’s Law,
causing everything that can go wrong around him, to go wrong. Each episode follows the
exploits of Milo and his friends, as they try to remedy the effects of this Law, while two
different characters go about a side plot, which often ends up being disturbed indirectly
by Milo and his gang. The show exists in the same universe as a different popular TV
Show X, which was created by the same people, and has the same rough outline. Both
shows are known to have a lot of running gags and catchphrases used in every episode.

63. 5. X and Y
Critics about movie X, in 2003:
"A bona-fide classic of midnight cinema, ______'s misguided masterpiece
subverts the rules of filmmaking with a boundless enthusiasm that renders
such mundanities as acting, screenwriting, and cinematography utterly
irrelevant. You will never see a football the same way again." "Borat trying to do
an impression of Christopher Walken playing a mental patient." a mix of
"Tennessee Williams, Ed Wood, R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet".
64. 5. X and Y
Critics about movie Y, in 2017, nominated for Oscars:
"As a director, Franco succeeds beautifully at bringing coherence to chaos, a
word that accurately describes the making of this modern midnight-movie
phenomenon.” Y is a surprisingly poignant and charming movie-about-a-movie
that explores the creative process with unexpected delicacy."

Apparently, Ronald Reagan was amused by _______'s disbelief that an actor like
him could turn out to be the President of the United States of America. He
asked the projectionist to stop and replay this scene in question from the
movie X released in 1985, 3 years after Reagan was elected into office. Even
though there was some tension related to the filming of this scene, everything
turned out to be great as Reagan actually got a "real kick out of it". He even
quoted a dialogue from the movie in the subsequent State of the Union address
in 1986 - "Where we're going we don't need roads". X?

X is an incredibly famous, and relatively young, actor, director, writer, comedian,
and most recently, a musician. X has won the Emmy, Golden Globes, and
Grammy, during his career. However, X is more popularly recognisable with his
musician stage name YZ. Y and Z seem like two random words stuck together,
and in fact, they kind of are. When asked about the origin of the name, he had
the following to say: “We were all hanging out, chilling and drinking and then we
were like, 'Oh, Wu-Tang name generator, let's put our name in.' And we're
putting them all in, and they're all funny and stuff, and then mine came up and I
was like, 'You guys, it's not funny anymore. This is something big.' I just really
liked it.”
