  5. 5. Change that went well Change that went less well ● School calendar. I have more exact knowledge of the requirements. ● Using MS teams to share subject plans, helped to make things more cross curricular in nature ● We totally revamped our IT Infrastructure and rolled out student email addresses. We also fully implemented online fees and reports. ● Smooth move to Google Classroom, realistic expectations of both students and staff with various levels of confidence and competence, support to senior students with devices where needed etc ● Using Teams ● Post changes. Roles taken out of the post structure have fallen within the remit of the DP. ● Distance learning ● A change in structures needed to reflect a change in posts - difficult to get staff support ● Trying to introduce restorative practice to the school- lots of resistance so far and some believe the way discipline has always happened is the way it should always be
  6. 6. Less family time - far less! Expected to be available at weekends when this time could be more formally factored into a working week, up until 6pm when we are all present anyway. Less time for personal life, hard to get a work life balance especially this summer, there has been no break at all mentally from work Time for family has disappeared due to the massive expectations on senior management this year. I had 2 weeks holidays in the summer and i was lucky to get that. June/August/September - unrelenting Exercising, meeting friends, social life is very limited because of time given to work Late home, less time with family Not being able to collect kids from school in the evening
