LEO BURNETT BRINGS ON FORMER MCCANN EXECUTIVE TO LEAD
GLOBAL KELLOGGʼS BUSINESS
CHICAGO – Nov. 1, 2011 – Leo Burnett Worldwide today announced the hire of
Matthew Scholes as Executive Vice President, Worldwide Account Director. Scholes will
lead the agencyʼs global marketing efforts for Kelloggʼs.
“This move feels a bit like coming home. I grew up with Kellogg's and its brands and
have many great friends and colleagues there. And Leo Burnett is an agency I have
always competed with and respected deeply, so it's exciting to be joining such a strong
team to work on a piece of business I love,” Scholes said.
Scholes joins Leo Burnett Worldwide from McCann Worldgroup in London where he was
a global account director for Nestle. Prior to McCann, Scholes led JWTʼs Kelloggʼs
business globally from London. He also served as managing director of JWT Canada,
where he worked to make the agency the most recognized office in the JWT network.
Scholes brings his expertise to Leo Burnett through his work with blue chip clients such
as Unilever, Pfizer and Boots, Britainʼs leading pharmacy.
“Matt brings a tremendous amount of category experience and a proven track record of
innovation with big, global brands,” said Tom Bernardin, CEO, Leo Burnett Worldwide.
“His passion for great creativity and strong client relationships will help build upon our
strong foundation with Kellogg. We look forward to his contributions to Kellogg and to our
own brand.”
