Planning - where the magic first starts to happen, where brands are turned into living, breathing, evolving little creatures that earthlings can relate to, touch, taste, feel… and these creatures may not always be perfect but in planning school they learn values, they learn to stand up for what they believe in, they learn empathy, wonder, to talk less and listen more. Here me too brands learn that it’s ok to be different – that it’s necessary. I believe we can change the world…one ad at a time…by making great brands (that care, reward, inspire) famous and making famous brands great. Sometimes that means cutting the crap, often it means asking for help and always it means selling ideas that are a little bit frightening…and that’s what I will bring to the team…the ability to do just that.

To Whom It Might Concern
Dear Reader,
Please accept this note as a reference on behalf of Ms. Caroline Simon.
For the past six months Caroline has been interning in the Account/Communications
Planning Department of JWT Advertising in Bangkok, Thailand.
Having brought to the agency enormous curiosity, cultural adaptability and a passion
for communications and consumers, Caroline managed to successfully contribute to
us as well learn from us during her stay here.
From her previous employment and academic studies she proved a good
understanding of both the conceptual and practical. While with us she demonstrated
an easy facility to analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative information
sources. Her internship incorporated working on “real” live client projects, training
cases and new business. In each case she managed to bring fresh thinking,
enthusiasm and a positive can do attitude.
As part of her internship we asked Caroline to collect and analyse competitive
advertising and product introductions from our network as well as share with our
network. In both cases she managed to do this extremely well and with minimum
supervision. She has shown good thinking skills and has been able to help articulate
insights and then develop positioning concepts based on them.
We can strongly recommend Caroline to you as a young planner. She is hungry for
work, full of energy and will be a rewarding investment for an agency looking for a
talented, yet still adaptable young thinker. Importantly, her positive personality fits
well with agency life too. We are missing her already!
