• Purpose of Event: FIFA’s mission is develop football everywhere and for all, to touch the world through its inspiring
tournaments and to build a better future through the power of the game
• Type of Event: International Soccer Tournament (hosted by a country every 4 years)
• Background of Event: The Fédération Internationale de Football Association, otherwise known by FIFA (French for
International Federation of Association Football), is responsible for the organization and governance of football's major
international tournaments, most notably the FIFA World Cup, held since 1930. It’s headquarters are in Zürich, Switzerland,
and its current president is Sepp Blatter.
• Concept: to highlight world-class athleticism, to entertain viewers and guests, to celebrate each country’s unique
strengths and overall cohesiveness, to enjoy high-level competition at an international level.
• Audience Profile: Soccer fanatics of all ages, recent emphasis in youth.
THE BIG EVENT: ADMISSIONS
• Admittance System into Venues & Parties: Hired Security admitting only those with clearance/all-
access pass visible.
• Arrival and Departure: Arrival on or before April 14th, departure morning of April 16th
• Credentials: Clearance/all-access passes handed out at hotel reception desk upon arrival, along
with tournament and host city information (at separate staffed desk within sight of reception desk)
• Access Control Points (security): Hotel: Secure door barrier to hotel conference room (ballroom for
party) additionally protected by hired security guard, room key reader in elevator, hotel room key.
Stadium: Secure door barrier to control room and presidential box protected by armed security
guards.
• Staffing Requirements for both venues: Security Guards at access control points and entrance/exit
to hotel and stadium, carpenters, riggers, electricians, groundskeepers, stage crew, lighting
specialists, sponsorship activation executives, and guest services specialists required for operations.

9pm: Set Performance by Journey, followed by fireworks show visible from inside stadium and hotel rooftop.

Editor's Notes

  1. *There are no city festivals nor events thus far scheduled on the same weekend or weekend prior to these event dates.
  2. *(official name To Be Determined), stadium set to open in March, 2017 for the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United FC’s 2017 seasons. *Soccer events will only use the lower level of the stadium, to accommodate kindly to every viewer’s preferences. *(minimum wage: $7.25/hr) No catering or concessions exclusivities, as the new stadium has not identified those needs yet.

  4. *Approximate total of 1,300 hotel rooms. If selected, the hotel agrees to provide function space in the quantity, and as described in this RFP. Hilton Atlanta boasts a central location in the heart of downtown Atlanta within walking distance to some of the best attractions in the city, including the Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center and the Georgia World Congress Center. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is just a 15-minute drive from our downtown Atlanta hotel. This Atlanta convention hotel offers 129,000 sq. ft. of flexible function space with the latest technology and was ranked #61 out of the Top 100 Meeting Hotels by Cvent. The Grand Ballroom provides 18,000 sq. ft. of space, plus an in-house technology department to help plan the ideal meeting or event. Network and mingle over coffee in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom foyer. Swim in the outdoor pool and work out in the fully equipped fitness center. Stay fit on our downtown Atlanta hotel’s outdoor tennis courts, full-sized basketball court or jogging track. Experience fine dining overlooking Atlanta’s downtown skyline in Nikolai’s Roof restaurant, or try a Polynesian cocktail at the Mai Tai bar in Trader Vic’s.
