FLAG OF JAPAN
• The flag of Japan have got 2 colors: Red
and white, the red is a round in the center
the flag.
• The red point represent a sun .
• In Japan the name of flag is: Nisshōki  or
Hinomaru  → Disc solar
CLIMATE
The climate of Japan is predominantly
temperate, but varies greatly from
north to south. Japan's geographical
features divide it into six principal
climatic zones: Hokkaido, Sea of
Japan, Central Highland, Seto Inland
Sea, Pacific Ocean, and Ryūkyū
Islands.
SPORTS
Traditionally, sumo is considered Japan's national sport. Japanese
martial arts such as judo, karate and kendo are also widely
practiced and enjoyed by spectators in the country. After the Meiji
Restoration, many Western sports were introduced in Japan and
began to spread through the education system.
ART
The Shrines of Ise have been celebrated as the
prototype of Japanese architecture.Largely of
wood, traditional housingand many temple buildings
see the use of tatami mats and sliding doors that
break down the distinction between rooms and
indoor and outdoor space.
CAPITAL
The capital of Japan is generally believed to be Tokyo. In the course of history, the
national capital has been in many locations other than Tokyo. Traditionally,
the home of the Emperor was considered the capital.
FOOD
Japanese cuisine is based on combining staple foods,
typically Japanese rice or noodles, with a soup and
okazu — dishes made from fish, vegetable, tofu
and the like – to add flavor to the staple food. In
the early modern era ingredients such as red
meats that had previously not been widely used in
Japan were introduced.
RELIGION
Japan enjoys full religious freedom based on Article 20 of its Constitution.
Upper estimates suggest that 84–96 percent of the Japanese population
subscribe to Buddhism or Shinto, including a large number of followers of a
syncretism of both religions. However, these estimates are based on people
affiliated with a temple, rather than the number of true believers.
