Project 1 – A SECURE CLOUD COMPUTING BASED FRAMEWORK FOR BIG DATA INFORMATION

Description:
A secure cloud computing based framework for big data information management in smart grids,
which we call “Smart-Frame.” The main idea of our framework is to build a hierarchical structure of cloud
computing centers to provide different types of computing services for information management and big data
analysis. In addition to this structural framework, we present a security solution based on identity-based
encryption, signature and proxy re-encryption to address critical security issues of the proposed framework.

2. Project 2 - DROPS DIVISION AND REPLICATION OF DATA IN CLOUD

Description:
In the DROPS methodology, we divide a file into fragments, and replicate the fragmented data over
the cloud nodes. Each of the nodes stores only a single fragment of a particular data file that ensures that even
in case of a successful attack, no meaningful information is revealed to the attacker. Moreover, the nodes
storing the fragments are separated with certain distance by means of graph T-coloring to prohibit an attacker
of guessing the locations of the fragments.
Responsibilities:

3. Description:
Internal Intrusion Detection and Protection System (IIDPS), is proposed to detect insider attacks at SC
level by using data mining and forensic techniques. The IIDPS creates users’ personal profiles to keep track of
users’ usage habits as their forensic features and determines whether a valid login user is the account holder
or not by comparing his/her current computer usage behaviours with the patterns collected in the account
holder’s personal profile.

Project 5 - A HYBRID CLOUD APPROACH FOR SECURE AUTHORIZED DEDUPLICATION

We also present several new deduplication constructions supporting authorized duplicate check in
hybrid cloud architecture. Security analysis demonstrates that our scheme is secure in terms of the definitions
specified in the proposed security model. As a proof of concept, we implement a prototype of our proposed
authorized duplicate check scheme and conduct testbed experiments using our prototype. We show that our
proposed authorized duplicate check scheme incurs minimal overhead compared to normal operations.

RMECR (reliable minimum energy cost routing), we consider minute details such as energy consumed

studies.
