2. Research Define Design
Problem: Educators are not aware of task management
apps and there are not any specifically targeted towards
them.
Iterate UI Design
Solution: Create a task management app specifically for
educators that allows them to collaborate with colleagues
and save time.

3. The first stage is always research. I did a competitor analysis, user surveys,
and interviews to get to know my users and establish their needs.
Research:
4. Define:
In the define stage, I created an MVP and wrote out SMART goals for the
user and business. This led to the creation of the user personas. I also
created customer journey maps and established information architecture.

6. In the design stage, there are multiple phases because I cycle back and
forth from design to testing. This allows me to quickly find design flaws
and iterate quickly before investing too much time.
Stage 1 begins with sketching
thumbnails so that I can get out as
many design solutions as possible.
Stage 2 involves taking a
thumbnail and creating a
more detailed design.
Design:
7. Design:
Stage 3 involves testing at the paper
prototype stage and making revisions.
Stage 4 is where I create grayscale
wireframes on the computer to give
it a more realistic feel. I then start
another round of usability tests to
see how it holds up.
8. Iterate:
Usability tests allow me to find what works and doesn’t work with the
users. I then make iterations and follow-up with another round of tests to
make sure the changes allow the user and business to meet their goals.
9. Once the design and iteration stage is complete, it then moves to
user interface design.UI Design:
