2. Background and introduction
• The Jam Today network is funded under the CIP programme of EU, has 25
partners and runs from 2013 to 2016.
• Main topics are applied/serious games and game jams.
• Each year, JamToday organizes ‘serious’ game jams across Europe around
a specific theme.
– 2014: Improving ICT skills
– 2015: Adopting Healthier lifestyles
– 2016: Supporting learning mathematics
• JT offers the necessary information, expert guidance, tools and support
for anyone to get other stakeholders (schools, universities, companies…)
involved in a practical manner in such events.

4. Questions and Offerings
• FPM is organizing one of these ‘serious game jam’ 18-19-20th of
September in Milan at the Museum of Science and Technology.
• The other JamToday partners are doing the same in many other EU
countries of the consortium.
• The JT format can be replicated in different contexts and with different
themes, but it’s not too easy to make it happen.
• It possible, sharing also part of the JamToday’s Toolkit, to provide
indications on participants on how organize a ‘serious jam’ on their own,
or with the help of the project, joining our network.
• It’s also an opportunity to discuss the value of learning games (or
‘serious’, or ‘applied’) in nowadays world from the perspective of games
creators and not only as simple game users.
