HelpDesk Technician – Jr
Stellargy Services an Austin based company offering over 20 years of IT Recruiting experience is
currently seeking a Helpdesk Technician – JR level in Austin, Texas. This is 2 month project
through November 30, 2015 with the possibility of direct hire by the client.
Responsibilities:
• Day to Day operations will require responding help desk tickets from Remedy queue, instant
messages, phone calls, and email
• Provide various software installation support on PCs and Notebooks such as Lotus Notes or
Outlook client email configuration and troubleshooting support
• Provide trouble support on Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems via remote desktop
utilizing SMS, Juniper, or RDP
• Communicate with technical and non-technical end users to resolve issues or to quickly teach the
basics of a software program
• Ability to lift and move 50lbs and assist with asset inventory tracking
• Coordinate end-user access to systems, create user accounts, grant access to printers, share drives,
VPN or disable user accounts
• Provide assistance to staff in a resourceful polite manner while, exhibiting an excellent customer
service attitude
• Perform basic network trouble shooting tests to verify connectivity to systems
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management
Skill Requirements:
• 2-3 years Desktop support
• 2-3 years Microsoft Office / Outlook
• 2-3 years Lotus Notes
• 2-3 years Laptop /PC hardware
• McAfee or PointSEC Encryption software.
• A general understanding of networking topologies, troubleshooting connectivity, WAN/LAN,
VPN, and wireless communication methods.
• Experience with Active Directory and remote desktop support is desired.
• Must be able to multitask, work independently, and have experience working in a help desk
environment from a ticket queuing software such as Remedy.
• Needs professional presence, customer service, and communication skills. Various skill tests
will be performed during the interview process.
Educational Requirements:
• A+ certification
• Network + certification

• Associates degree in related Field
