Synopsis

The Wise Emperor
Under 2 Decades of Reign by the Wise Emperor,
The Empire flourished,
and become the Cultural Center of the Known World.
But the Prosperity is not Eternal,
As the Beloved Monarch became
bedridden to a Mysterious Illness,
And Passed away.

Regalia Firebrand
By the Law of the Empire,
The next person to wield the Magic Sword Firebrand,
Shall be crowned the new Emperor.
But there’s a catch, in the form of a curse.
“ Upon a touch, The Sword shall burn to ashes,
Any living being of this World,
Not of the Imperial Blood ”
The Crown Prince is scheduled
to wield the Sword in the Crowning Ceremony,
…………However………..

The Assassination
The Crown Prince was killed in a duel
by his Uncle The Black Duke.
And to take claim of the Throne,
He also Murdered the rest of the Imperial Family.
So that he shall be the Last one
capable of wielding The Firebrand.
Making him, Legally, the sole person
who can become the next Emperor.

The False Princess
The Princess, being the last survivor of the Imperial Family,
Challenged the Duke to Trial at Court.
The Duke allowed her to grab the Sword, and made an oath
that should she be able to wield it,
He will surrender and be Judge in the name of Justice.
The Princess, filled with vigor, trying to reach for the Sword….
…… but was stopped by a servant of the Wise Emperor….
…Your Highness, You must not touch the Sword,
for you are not of the Imperial Blood……

The Tyranny
Crowned as the Black Emperor,
The Empire launched an expansion Campaign
that swept through the Continents.
Within 5 Years,
Unrest, Murder, Plunder,
Became a common everyday lives,
And as Despair roams across the Land,
The Star of Hope, started to rise beyond the Horizon.

The Resistance
Gathered from across the Lands,
The Braves who dare to defy the Empire,
Rose up to Fight to defeat the Black Emperor,
And bring peace to the Land
This is where the History that shall become a Legend Start
However,
…… The Empire, is not their only Enemy……
For Amongst the resistance, there are Conflicts of Ideal

The Imperialist
Knights, Noble, Clergy,
Those who fight to install the Princess as the New Emperor.
After all,
They Believe that peace can only come under the Righteous Imperial Ruler

The Separatist
Local Lords, Former Lieges of the now Colonized Land
Those who fight to claim the Lands that they believe are rightfully theirs.
After all,
They Believe that peace can only come by Declaration of Independence

The Revolutionist
Scholars, Scientists, Merchants,
Those who fight to get rid of the Nobility once and for all.
After all,
They Believe that peace can only come by an Equal Society

The Agendas

Separatist
Revolutionist
Despite wanting to dethrone the Tyrannical Emperor,
Individuals who are still loyal to the Empire,
And wishes to install a Righteous Emperor on the Throne.
Local Lords and Powerful Individuals,
Who wanted to declare Independence from the Empire
And found their own Country.
Scholars, Scientists, Merchants,
Individuals who wanted to get rid of the Nobility,
And turn the Empire into a Republic.

In each Stages,
Units or Facilities that belong
to a certain faction will appear as NPCs.
Depending on Player’s Allegiance to the Faction,
They will either become
Player’s Ally, Enemy, or stay Neutral.
Available Missions and Events will also change.
This will give variation & replay value to a Stage.

Faction Allegiance Benefit
The Faction will become Permanent Ally, while turning other Factions to Permanent Enemy
Enter the Faction’s Ending Route
The Faction will become Permanent Enemy
Most NPCs of the Faction will become Ally,
Units from the Faction will require less CP to command
Obtain Faction’s Specific Items
Most NPCs of the Faction will become Enemy,
Units from the Faction will require more CP to command
Most NPCs of the Faction will remain neutral until instigated

Actions that adjust Faction Allegiance
Complete Faction’s Mission
Unit from the Faction Defeated an Enemy
Command a Squad
Squad Captured a Building
Retreat from a Combat
Unit from the Faction got Defeated

As a rule of thumb,
Most mission will please a Faction, while pissing off another.
All of them must be accomplishable via Standard Gameplay Procedure.
( Exploring, Combat., etc )
The Shrine on the Mountain is an Imperial Holy Ground,
We need to Protect her from the Enemies!!!
( Captured the Shrine with Squad whose Leader is an Imperialist)
( Gain a Magic Related Item )
What the Imperial thought was sacred Stones, are actually rare Ores,
We can mine out the Ore to make new Weapons!

Units for Prototype

Physical and Magical
As discussed, we will minimize Façade Rules for as much as possible.
PhyAtk => PhyDef, MagAtk => MagDef
Is mainly Façade. As such, we need to design a new Rule
Standard attacks that can get Dodged
Damage can be reduce by Defense
Once Casted,
Magical Damage Guaranteed a Hit & Ignore Defense
However, it can get Dispelled

Dispel Magic

Similar to how Magic in Warhammer works,
Each Unit in a Squad
will have a Magic Resistance (MR) attribute.
The Chance of Dispelling a Spell,
is the combined MR value of the Units.
