6. Nature of Business
Our aim is to develop a business plan for Internet Start-up:
ePharma.com with the main objective of selling pharmacy goods
at very competitive prices. We will hire dedicated employees for
order processing, fulfilment, and customer relationship
management and routine maintenance of the site. Initially,
E-pharma’s market reach will be expected to be limited to Dhaka

reluctance on the part of pharmacists to adopt new business

traditional retail pharmacy where there are significant barriers to
entry in the market place.

11. Competitors Analysis
Chain pharmacies: The advantages to these chains are
better prices through economies of scale, as well as
personalized service. The personalized service takes the
form of the chain having a record of your medication
purchases as well as any allergies that you have disclosed to
them.
Local pharmacies: These are the pharmacies where you
typically know the pharmacist and they know your medical
history. This option is high in personalized service and
convenience, and high in price.

system in Bangladesh this includes
• Cash on delivery
• Debit/Credit card (Visa/MasterCard)
• B-kash
• Rocket
• U-cash
• M-Cash
• Traditional payment system (Cheque)
17. Pricing Strategy
We are selecting price penetration strategy because our aim is selling to
huge portion of the target customer at a lower price in order to capture
the market because in this sector customers are highly price sensitive.
But we have to change some issues in the market penetration strategy.
Though we set price low to attract large portion of our population but we
need to charge a minimum amount as service charge (say taka 50) for the
products or group of products which cost below tk.300 in total. The logic
of this pricing is that normally a medicine company charges a percentage
(Say 10%) of the total selling price as profit. If a customer orders a
product whose price is below the suggested amount, the amount of
profit will not be justified as the company have to earn the cost of the
product.
18. Production Plan
Our firm (E-Medicine) basically tries to deliver high quality but
low price medicine among the consumer over telephone &
internet. Basically we act as a middleman business & make
sound relationship between consumers & pharmaceuticals ltd.
For doing this task we make a long term contract with
pharmaceuticals ltd. Pharmaceuticals ltd provide us their
medicine & others products on the basis of 30% or 50% cash
payment system & the rest of payment will be paid after sales.
Our firm is located at central Dhaka so accessibility to its
consumers will be very easy and & quickly. At first our products
will be below drugs items & day by day we increase our
products items.
