This will prevent you from wasting an attempt if taking the missing sections separately. For example: A candidate took the Core Subjects EC-6 (291) and obtained the following results: English Language Arts and Reading and the Science of Teaching Reading – passed Math – failed Science – failed Social Studies – passed Fine Arts, Health and Physical Education – passed Additional Information TExES Exam: For Core Subjects EC- 6 and 4-8 Test Takers ONLY

When taking the test the candidate will skip the English language arts and answer the Math and Science, then will skip the Social studies, fine arts, health and physical education, then SUBMIT your test.
