Theme: Dental Clinic
The chair introduces a dynamic seated posture for the clinic staff
The assignment was to develop a product that would help to improve the clinic staff
working experience. This could be a piece of furniture or a dental tool. We chose to
design a chair that would make the dentist have a straighter posture while working
on their patients.
The seat is made of viscoelastic foam that forms after the body. Underneath the
seat is there a pillow filled with air and shaped like a donut. This gives the dynamic
sitting position like sitting on a ball. The seat and pillow of hold up by a metal frame
that can be adjusted in high and have wheels attached underneath for movability.
