Editor's Notes
Are you ready for the cloud? An application is an idea that takes data and adds code to provide value to our users. Hi, I’m Mike Benkovich and I want to welcome you to Permit To cloud – landing with confidence in Azure. Going to the cloud can be a tricky thing, but fortunately there are processes and tools that can make that journey a safe one.
Today we’re going to cover a number of things. First we’ll talk about what a cloud app is and what it takes to create something basic. We’ll look at how we’ll access and work with resources in the cloud, and see some tools we can use to make sure we can secure our environment. We will dive into some great tools available including in Visual Studio for building connected applications, and we’ll see how we can use Resource group projects to design templates we can use to manage our deployments. Finally we’ll show how you can use DevOps features to manage code and deliver it to our cloud environments with Pipelines. There’s a lot to cover so let’s dig in!
Lets start with an idea. In my case the idea has to do with my kids. They’re leaving the house and I wont’ always be around to provide them with the guidance they might need. I want to create an application that can provide them with the fatherly wisdom they need wherever they are. That’s where I came up with the Dad App.
