Mike Gotta is a Research VP covering social networks and collaboration. Mike has 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to re-joining Gartner, Mike held a variety of analyst positions at Burton Group (acquired by Gartner in 2010) and Meta Group.
Mike is pursuing a Masters in Media Studies at the New School and maintains an active research agenda on trends related to social networks, social analytics, identity, participatory culture, and collaboration. Mike is also investigating how to best leverage ethnography and related qualitative research approaches when implementing social networking environments.
