Direct a team of six software developers. Maintained collection processes and systems for a multifaceted ETL program.
Researched new collection technologies for data and multimedia collection. Managed collection engineers to maintain
current collections and add new websites based on customer requests. Authored, negotiated, and maintained system
requirements. Developed recommendations to Project Manager and Chief Engineer on changes required in system
development that would increase program development, customer satisfaction and retention, and new cliental.
 Identified within one month on the program that existing architecture for data collection system was limited and
captured less than 50 percent of targeted material fromthe Internet. Redesigned the collection systemand implemented
a request management system and a defect reporting system. Within three months the new system began to capture
data at approximately 100 percent. System was also designed to allow for scaling and growth past current demands.
 Introduced new collection methodologies and tools allowing for a more systematic approach to a cumbersome and
ineffective system that utilized conventional Webcrawl technology. Independently designed and developed a solution
for collecting data by customizing RSS FeedReader to meet our requirements.
 Designed and implemented an organic technology usingKAPOW and Python to collectmetadata for audio and video files
from sites such as YouTube. Developed an Oracledatabaseto organizecollected data for easy recall by media analysts.
 Developed collection servicecenter costs model includingcostsof labor,hardware,software,and network as well as led
the purchasing effort of the items and hiring.
 Implemented Agile process to eliminate ad hoc software development, saving time and money for the project.
 Outsourced collection O&M, resulting in more accurate project data sets and reducing labor costs by 50 percent.
Senior Test Engineer, SAIC/Leidos Inc. - Northern Virginia June 2006 - September 2009
Led a four-member team of test engineers, includingdeveloping test schedule and delineatingdaily responsibilities.As Test
Team Lead, responsiblefor test reports as well as working with the Development and Integration Teams to validatesystem
requirements and functionality as well as troubleshootingissues.Supported Configurations Manager by managingsoftware
builds and releases.
 Developed automated metrics reports for ten customer sites using Crystal Reports 11 in order to monitor data
movement, synchronization, and customer system usage. The new access to regularized information allowed the
customer to better forecast for hardware scaling and staffing.
 Regression tested system components including security policies, user interface, multimedia editing capability, file
transfer capability, and scheduler on a regular basis. Designed and performed Site Acceptance Testing at international
locations and remotely for domestic customer sites.
 Developed and executed technical test cases and procedures for verifying new system requirements. Responsible for
regularly reporting and demonstrating to the customer that the requirements were satisfied with each new release.
Software Engineer, Northrop Grumman - Northern Virginia January 2001 – May 2006
Developed software that supported multipleclients.Designed and developed tools to help streamlinethe process of tracking
hardwareand software assets.Worked directly with the clientto develop standard operatingprocedures,requirements, and
other documentation for the World-WideTricareInformation Center. Led team of developers to support reportingcapability
for a large Department of Defense call center. Led a proposal effort that resulted in expansion of the call center contract.
 Led implementation of Citrix solution for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant application systemand conducted
stress tests on the NIH Citrix system and www.grants.gov website using LoadRunner.
 Developed PureEdge XForms, as well as XSLs, FO XSLs, and Schemas for www.grants.gov.
 Developed an organic bug tracking system, which included a back-end database to store data and a graphical user
interface used by the test team to input issues in support of testing for www.grants.gov.
 Designed and implemented a lab environment to reflect the integration of LANDesk, PowerQuest, Provance, HP Open-
View, and Remedy with ORACLE 8i/9i and MS SQL Server as the databases.
 Developed a portal using MS SQL/Server database and ASP for INS asset tracking and deployment.
 Developed automated reports using Crystal Reports, Oracle Discoverer, Microsoft office, utilizing SQL and Visual Basic
Programming, allowing call center managers to improve staffing patterns, training topics, and see in aggregated form
customer requests submitted to information center.
 Conducted stress and functional testing of ORACLE 8i database and 11i CRM application using LoadRunner , which
involved extensive C Language programming.
