Objective:

Work Experience:
Working as a Senior Chemist since March 2000 with International Academy of Environmental
Sanitation and Public Health (Previously Known as Sulabh International Academy of
Environmental Sanitation and Public Health,), Sulabh Bhawan, Mahavir Enclave, Palam Dabri
Road, New Delhi- 110045. This laboratory was approved by The Delhi Pollution Control
Committee, during 1999-2003 for analyzing drinking water and wastewater effluents from various
wastewater treatment plants and provide adequacy certificates based on design and treatment
efficiency of treatment plants.
Responsibilities Handled:
I. Analysis of various physico- chemical and Bacteriological parameters of drinking water
and waste water (Sewage and Industrial Effluents )
A. Physical and Chemical Parameter:
Well versed with various parameters of water and wastewater (like Chloride, Hardness,
Iron, Lead, Chromium, BOD, COD, Phosphate and different heavy metals etc.) as per
the SOP and Standard Methods.
B. Bacteriological Parameters
Total Coliform and Fecal Coliform in water and wastewater
II. Instruments and equipments handling :
Well experienced to operate UV-Spectrophotometer, Flame Photo Meter, pH Meter,
Conductivity Meter, Digital Turbidity Meter, Muffle Furnace. BOD and Bacteriological
Incubator etc.
III. Involved in various project work:
A. Currently working on generation of biogas from kitchen waste and other wastes

2. B. Worked with a project on on-site treatment of effluent of public toilet linked biogas plant,
funded by The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, under the
project a device was developed to make effluent with BOD level less than 10 mg/l and
without any odour , colour and any bacterial pathogen. Carried out various physico-
chemical parameters of effluent under the project.
C. Testing of efficiency of MICROMUNE for treatment of septic tank. MICHROMUNE is
product of M/S SANITATION WORLD, South Africa. It’s efficiency to degrade organic
wastes is being tested.
D. Worked for different projects related to composting of biodegradable wastes. These
projects were based on thermophilic aerobic composting and vermin composting of fruit
market wastes and kitchen wastes.
E. Worked on the testing efficiency of package type wastewater treatment plant-The
Balmoral Continuous Aeration Tank (CAP). Further analysed wastewater treatment
efficiency of Sheetal Treatment Plant installed at their factory in Najafgarh, New Delhi
linked with toilet.

VI. Analysis of commercial/ private samples:
Receive various industrial and public sectors undertakings samples for testing of water
and wastewater to ascertain the quality of samples and to assess the efficiency of
treatment plant.
VII. Assists students from various academic institutions for their dissertation works in physico –
chemical analysis of water & wastewater for ETP.
VIII. Well versed in the treatment of industrial wastewater from industries like Electroplating,
Pickling, Anodising, Phosphating units, Effluent from Service Stations, Hotels/Restaurants
etc., through chemical treatment methods.
IX. Maintaining database, stock register for chemicals, glassware’s and
instruments/equipments for the laboratory.
X. Preparing certificate based on the analysis of samples from different sources to the
clients.
Training
Trained in the laboratory by experts (by Guest faculty and In house Experts) from time to time
on advance methods for examination of physical, chemical and bacteriological parameter of
water and waste water.
