Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited (BMCL) has become
the first metro operator in Thailand since Mass Rapid Transit
Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has given BMCL a confidence to
be the concessionaire of operating The M. R. T. Chaloem
Ratchamongkhon Line Project (The MRT System) on August 1,
2000.

INTERNATIONAL STANDARD
The Company realizes the significance of sustainable development so that the organization can
become one of the world's leading mass rapid transit operators by strengthening its
competitiveness while striving to seek a balance among society, environment and economy. The
Company signed to be a member of the Charter on Sustainable Development, Pledge Signatory,
of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) in June 2008, and was accepted as a
member of the Charter on Sustainable Development, Full Charter Signatory, in June 2009 and
remains a member now. The Company is determined to comply with its contractual obligation to
ensure the strategic policies in line with the principles of the business operation to balance
among business, social and environmental growth, with internal systems for application,
monitoring, following up and reporting of the performance under such guidelines. Moreover,
the Company has participated as a member of another two international federations, namely,
American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and NOVA Group of Metros, with the
objectives to study and exchange the excellent practices with other international public
transport operators, and apply them as guidelines in its continued self-development and
improvement.

Determined to develop its service to be equivalent to the world's leading mass rapid transit
operators by taking care of service users in all respects as well as regularly improving and
developing the service quality.
Company received the standard management certifications as follows: (G4-15)
1. ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System;
2. ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System;
3. OHSAS 18001:2007 and TIS 18001:2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management
Systems;
4. Safety Management System from Lloyd's Register Rail.

convenient, fast, reliable and punctual metro system;

SAFETY POLICY
1. Keep all possible risks associated with the operation of the railway system as low as
reasonably practicable while complying with laws;
2. Ensure that all preventive and corrective measures needed to minimize such risks are
implemented efficiently and effectively, as well as developed and improved continually; and
3. Raise safety knowledge and safety awareness among all those involved.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
1. Prevent and control the environmental pollutions generated from our business activities to
minimize the environmental impacts so that they are as low as reasonably practicable and
comply with all applicable laws and regulation;
2. Ensure that all preventive and control measures needed are implemented, reviewed and
continually improved as well as use resources efficiently throughout BMCL operations;
3. Raise environmental knowledge and awareness among all our employees, contractors and
all concerned person to understand their responsibilities regarding environmental
protection.
ENERGY SAVING POLICY
1. Control the energy consumption of its business activities to be in line with the energy savings
plan and objectives in order to bring an optimal benefit of energy consumption while
complying with applicable laws;
2. Ensure that all preventive and control measures designed are implemented, reviewed and
continually improved and ensure that resources are used efficiently; and
3. Foster the energy knowledge and awareness among all our employees, contractors and all
concerned parties to make sure that they all understand their responsibilities regarding the
consumption of energy.

1. To be a leading organization in the sustainable development concept, through
communication and exchange of best practices with all of BMCL's stakeholders;
2. To incorporate the sustainable development concept into every aspect of BMCL;
3. To promote training, learning and counselling, focusing on practices according to sustainable
development guidelines;
4. To support regional operation and cooperation to achieve sustainable development.
RISK MANAGEMENT POLICY
1. To provide risk management process in accordance with international standards or practices
to ensure the efficiency of the risk management; enterprise wide operation and
development in the same direction as the business operation policy of the Company.
2. To treat risk management as part of work, involving significant decision-making regarding
management, strategic planning to achieve the specified objectives, goals, missions and
vision of the Company.
3. To carry out proactive risk management to manage risks which may result in the Company's
loss of interest or opportunities.
4. To delegate risk management as staff's responsibility at all levels and manage risks within
their work units and the organization to contain risks at an adequate and appropriate level.

under Rama IV Road, near Metropolitan Electricity Authority Headquarters and Chaloem Maha
Nakhon Expressway in Khlong Toei District, Bangkok. Before opened, station is named Bon
Kai (Thai: บ่อนไก่) due to it located near Bon Kai neighborhood, but changed name to Khlong

The Mass Rapid Transit Master Plan in Bangkok Metropolitan Region (M-Map) contains a

Kamphaeng Phet station (Thai: กาแพงเพชร) is a Metro station in Bangkok, Thailand. It is located
beneath Kamphaeng Phet Road (Thanon), providing a direct access to the Chatuchak Weekend
Market and OrTorKor Market. Not to be confused with the town or province of Kamphaeng Phet.
It has an underground mall that opened in early 2009. The preceding station is Bang Sue Station
and next station is Chatuchak Park. The road is named after HRH Prince Purachatra Jayakara
Prince of Kamphaeng Phet (Thai, พระเจ้าบรมวงศ์เธอ พระองค์เจ้าบุรฉัตรไชยากร กรมพระกาแพงเพชรอัครโยธิน), the first
Thai commander of State Railway of Thailand.

Bang Sue
Bang Sue MRT Station (Thai: สถานีบางซื่อ, code BAN) is a MRT Blue Line rapid transit station,
located near Bang Sue Junction Railway Station, Bangkok. In 2013, it still be the terminal, but the
extension is under construction. In the future, it will connect to SRT Red Lines and Suvarnabhumi
Airport Link.

  • 4. The First Metro Operator in Thailand! Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited (BMCL) has become the first metro operator in Thailand since Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) has given BMCL a confidence to be the concessionaire of operating The M. R. T. Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line Project (The MRT System) on August 1, 2000.

  • 6. MISSION "We will provide mass transit services to the public with a safe, convenient, fast, reliable and punctual metro system to alleviate traffic congestion, maintain the environment and improve quality of life." to correspond with its Motto that "Service above all else"
  • 7. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD The Company realizes the significance of sustainable development so that the organization can become one of the world's leading mass rapid transit operators by strengthening its competitiveness while striving to seek a balance among society, environment and economy. The Company signed to be a member of the Charter on Sustainable Development, Pledge Signatory, of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) in June 2008, and was accepted as a member of the Charter on Sustainable Development, Full Charter Signatory, in June 2009 and remains a member now. The Company is determined to comply with its contractual obligation to ensure the strategic policies in line with the principles of the business operation to balance among business, social and environmental growth, with internal systems for application, monitoring, following up and reporting of the performance under such guidelines. Moreover, the Company has participated as a member of another two international federations, namely, American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and NOVA Group of Metros, with the objectives to study and exchange the excellent practices with other international public transport operators, and apply them as guidelines in its continued self-development and improvement.
  • 8. SERVICE PERFOMANCE FOR THE YEAR 2013

HIGH QUALITY OF SERVICE Determined to develop its service to be equivalent to the world's leading mass rapid transit operators by taking care of service users in all respects as well as regularly improving and developing the service quality. Company received the standard management certifications as follows: (G4-15) 1. ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System; 2. ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management System; 3. OHSAS 18001:2007 and TIS 18001:2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems; 4. Safety Management System from Lloyd's Register Rail.
  • 11. QUALITY POLICY 1. Provide mass rail rapid transit service that satisfies customers' expectations with a safe, convenient, fast, reliable and punctual metro system; 2. Continually improve quality of service and business performance 3. Encourage employees to have the knowledge, competency and commitment to their jobs needed to provide safe and quality service.
  • 12. SAFETY POLICY 1. Keep all possible risks associated with the operation of the railway system as low as reasonably practicable while complying with laws; 2. Ensure that all preventive and corrective measures needed to minimize such risks are implemented efficiently and effectively, as well as developed and improved continually; and 3. Raise safety knowledge and safety awareness among all those involved.
  • 13. ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY 1. Prevent and control the environmental pollutions generated from our business activities to minimize the environmental impacts so that they are as low as reasonably practicable and comply with all applicable laws and regulation; 2. Ensure that all preventive and control measures needed are implemented, reviewed and continually improved as well as use resources efficiently throughout BMCL operations; 3. Raise environmental knowledge and awareness among all our employees, contractors and all concerned person to understand their responsibilities regarding environmental protection.

Control the energy consumption of its business activities to be in line with the energy savings plan and objectives in order to bring an optimal benefit of energy consumption while complying with applicable laws; 2. Ensure that all preventive and control measures designed are implemented, reviewed and continually improved and ensure that resources are used efficiently; and 3. Foster the energy knowledge and awareness among all our employees, contractors and all concerned parties to make sure that they all understand their responsibilities regarding the consumption of energy.
